Renovating or extending a slide

Your slide does not need replacing to be as good as new.

Renovation

We renovate existing slides: from repairs to replacing polyester sections, new stairs and platforms, or raising or modifying a slide. Any change to the slide path itself is recalculated, so the slide complies with the standard again.

A used slide can also be given a second life. At Norgerberg, an existing slide originally from Drachten was given a new polyester spiral staircase. We also arranged the inspection of the installation.

Insulation

A considerable share of the heat loss in swimming pools occurs in the slide, especially when it runs (partly) outside the building. Insulating the slide reduces that loss. A coated or insulated (closed) slide often needs lighting inside. Read more about slide insulation.

Extending with attractions

Attractions give an existing slide a new experience: light effects, sound, AquaSmash or timing. With our mounting module, assessed by an independent inspection body, you can fit lighting without a full re-inspection of the slide, provided the instruction signs are updated.

Frequently asked questions

Does the slide need to be re-inspected after renovation?

That depends on the change. A modification to the slide path itself usually requires a new assessment. Fitting lighting with our mounting module does not require a full re-inspection, provided the instruction signs are updated.

Can you insulate a slide that runs outdoors?

Yes. Insulation reduces heat loss especially on slides that run (partly) outside the building. We calculate the savings in advance. Read more about slide insulation.
