Colour-coded 3D model of a slide on a laptop

From design to handover

What steps are involved in buying a slide, splash pad or water playground?

1. Introduction and requirements

Together we look at what you are after: the target group, the space available, indoors or outdoors, and your budget. We check whether your wishes fit the budget and how we can work as efficiently as possible.

2. Design and 3D model

Based on your wishes we prepare a custom proposal, including 3D renderings of your site. You see exactly what you will get and have a say in shapes, colours and options.

3. Engineering and simulation

Once you approve, we work out the technical design. The design is checked structurally, and for a slide we calculate the sliding behaviour. Read more about simulation and safety.

4. Production in Oudewater

We make the slide sections, the steel structure and the electronics in our own production hall in Oudewater. The steel structure is galvanised, and the polyester sections are finished in our workshop.

5. Installation on site

Our VOL-VCA certified installers install the system. It is also possible to work with your own technical team, supported by an AVASTO supervisor.

6. Inspection and handover

After installation, the attraction is inspected. The client receives a certificate showing that the attraction complies with the standards. After that, we remain available for maintenance and inspection.

How long does it take?

That depends on the size of the project, the engineering, structural preparation on site and the season. With the quotation we draw up a schedule to suit your situation, for example so that an outdoor slide is ready before the swimming season.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have a say in the design?

Yes. You have a full say in shapes, colours and options. 3D renderings show you in advance what it will look like.

Do you also handle installation?

Yes. Our own VOL-VCA certified installers install the slide or splash pad, including pipework, pump technology and controls. Working with your own team under AVASTO supervision is also possible.
