Water playground

Fun for young and old, in the toddler pool, the swimming pool and the park.

For the little ones and the daredevils

A water playground brings fun for young and old. For younger children, our range includes various playhouses with slides and water-spraying animals.

Older children can have endless fun whizzing down the slides together or getting soaked by the water from the tipping bucket. Just like a splash pad, a water playground can be fitted out entirely to your wishes. This page shows a few examples. You will find more in the Pooljoy range.

Paardekreek indoor water playground

An AVASTO project: the complete playground from a single source

For Paardekreek, AVASTO supplied the complete new indoor water playground. At its centre is a blue play structure with a spiral slide, a wide double slide and a tipping bucket with red buckets. A yellow seahorse sprays water over the play pool.

For the youngest there is a toddler slide and water play elements with bowls, paddles and channels that let children make the water flow themselves. A whirlpool sits next to the playground.

De Tongelreep, Eindhoven

For De Tongelreep swimming pool in Eindhoven we made the Aquanaut: a custom astronaut figure serving as a water play element in the indoor pool. We also supplied yellow children’s slides, spray pipes and sprayers for the play pools.

Outdoors, we fitted out the new splash pad, with a play tower, slides, a circular water channel and sprayers on a blue synthetic surface. Read more on the Splash pad page.

Merwestein swimming pool, Nieuwegein

At the new Merwestein swimming pool in Nieuwegein, besides the slides we also supplied the play elements in the play pool: white spray pipes and sprayers that arc water over the pool. Read more about the slides in this project on the Water slide page.

For toddler pools, swimming pools and parks

AVASTO water playgrounds come in every size: from a single water-spraying figure in the toddler pool to a complete play structure with slides, buckets and water cannons. Since early 2024 we have also carried the full Pooljoy range.

We design the water playground in 3D, manufacture and install the equipment and take care of the associated technology. Water playgrounds are designed to NEN-EN 17232.

How we work

Water playground or splash pad?

A water playground is located in or next to a (toddler) pool. A splash pad has no standing water: the water drains away directly through the surface.
