About us
Since 2001 AVASTO has been a trusted partner to many clients for innovative, high-quality solutions. With extensive expertise and a passion for our work, we have supplied countless installations from our own production hall in Oudewater in the fields of spa and wellness, and lighting and effects for water slides, among others. Our principle: high-quality, durable products, developed and manufactured entirely in-house wherever possible.
- 2022
- In 2022 we took an ambitious step by shifting our focus to the leisure sector and specialising further in water playgrounds and splash pads. This led to the founding of AVASTO Recreation Technology, and we have been pushing boundaries ever since!
- 2023
- In 2023 AVASTO took over part of the experienced team of Van Egdom Recreatietechniek, a company that supplied slides and water playgrounds worldwide. This brought their slide expertise to AVASTO, a perfect fit with our vision and ambition. As a result, we can now offer the complete package for water slides, water playgrounds and splash pads, including lighting and effects. And all of it entirely in-house! - 2024
- But we did not stop there. In early 2024 we accelerated our growth further by acquiring Pooljoy, a specialist in water play equipment with a strong focus on toddler pools and playgrounds. This addition is a perfect fit with our extensive range of water slides and playgrounds!

Sustainability, safety and care for the environment and surroundings come first in the way we work. Of course we manufacture and install to the strict NEN criteria, but we also continually look for ways to use energy more consciously, reduce waste and so protect the environment.

Environment and energy consumption
Swimming pools are constantly looking for a balance between an enjoyable visit, low costs and a small environmental footprint. Think of water temperature, the power consumption of a whirlpool or sauna, and products that wear quickly in the corrosive pool environment. That is why we are happy not only to help you find the best solution for repair or replacement, but also to look at power consumption and service life.
Our products are made for the corrosive pool environment, which extends their service life. With our smart sensors and software we can also create control circuits for you that keep the power consumption of pumps, lighting and heating, for example, to a minimum.

Slide insulation
Did you know that a considerable share of the heat loss in swimming pools is caused by water slides?
As warm water flows through the tube, it cools down further and further during the ride. The effect is even stronger on slides that run (partly) outside the building, where cold outside air lowers the temperature in the tube even more. The result? Cold water and air flowing back into the pool, disrupting the indoor climate control and leading to high energy costs to bring the water back up to temperature.
With innovative techniques and targeted modifications, swimming pools can reduce this heat loss considerably. Think of smart insulation, efficient heating solutions or technologies that improve thermal comfort without placing extra strain on the environment.
